March 9 2019 – Yarrow had his teeth cleaned yesterday, he lost 5 and the rest were polished.  He had a cyst removed from the top of his head. Yarrow is 31.5lbs.  He is a sweet boy who is now looking for his forever home.
March 4, 2019 – Oh sweet Yarrow , my shadow , follows me everywhere. Such a great walker with the warmer weather . He continues to get along so well with the other animals , and is so easy going , he just ignores the antics of George, the Sphinx cat.
Yarrow is getting his teeth cleaned this coming Friday.

February 25, 2019 – Yarrow, our big boy is such a sweetheart . So easy going and cooperative with his ear meds and eye drops. He gets along so well with the other animals, we haven’t had many walks lately with the bad weather.  He is a beautiful gentle boy , so sweet and wants to please … loves to cuddle and is just so happy!

February 19, 2019 – Yarrow continues to be a delight, he has really settled in . He continues to be attached to his toys and likes to fall asleep with one in his mouth.  His cough is also gone completely, he will sometimes cough when he gets very excited like lots of pugs.  He is still getting meds for his ears, one ear looks great but one is still looking a little red. We will have that checked by the vet.He had a great sleep after his big trip to Ottawa Farmers Market this past Sunday and was excited to get home and see his new friends !  He is a big beautiful pug with a big beautiful personality!

February 15, 2019 – Yarrow is doing very well and barely coughs.  He is always happy and he is good with everyone 2 legged or 4 legged.  His tail is always wagging and he has lots of energy.  Yarrow will get his teeth cleaned as soon as his ear infection is cleared.
February 11, 2019 – Yarrow is the happiest Pug ever … I just have to look at him and that big curly tail  is wagging ! He is pure delight !  His house training is really good, he has the bladder of a camel.  He absolutely loves his toys , sometimes he will fetch but mostly he likes to carry them around in his mouth and make funny little noises … sometimes he will fall asleep with his toy in his mouth
He is a big cuddler , loves the couch ,but sometimes he likes to be in his bed.
He loves his walks and loves going in the car; he gets very excited but does little funny cries and sounds until he finally settles down .
He is a dream to clean his ears and give him his ear drops , he just sits still and let’s me do it.  He fits in well with the resident dogs and cats.  He is a bit of a loud snorer.
He is crate trained but we’ve not used it since he’s been here, he’s a such a good boy.  Some nights he will sleep on the bed, but he also likes to just go find his bed and sleep in there …
Absolutely no problems with him on a leash, can get in and out of the car himself.
Yarrow is amazing, my shadow already. He has settled in and is just pure happiness. Lucky will be the family who gets to adopt him !
He is getting his joint support and ear meds every day.  He is hardly coughing but does when he gets excited or jumping around …
He has a very good appetite.

February 10, 2019 – Yarrow gets along very well with the resident dogs and he is fully housetrained.  The vet didn’t know if his coughing was caused by kennel cough or a collapsed trachea and, since we have no background history, only time will tell us if kennel cough is the cause of his coughing or not.  The vet was unable to elicit cough by tracheal palpation; Yarrow is coughing a bit when he gets up or when he gets very excited.  Yarrow is a big boy and should lose 4-5lbs to be at a healthy weight.  He has a big bone structure.  He will be getting his teeth clean in a few weeks and will also has a little cyst removed from the top of his head.

February 6, 2019 – Yarrow had his vet appointment yesterday.  He is a healthy 32lbs boy who will need to have his teeth cleaned.  He has an ear infection in both ears and that is being treated with meds for the next 10 days.  Yarrow is a sweet boy who is curious and loves going for walks.

February 2, 2019 – Yarrow was brought to a shelter in Toronto after his owner passed away.  Yarrow is a big boy at 32lbs.  He definitely needs to lose weight.  “He is perfect” is how the staff at the shelter describe him.  Yarrow is neutered and he will be visiting the vet this Tuesday for a complete check up.  Yarrow might have kennel cough so he won’t be coming to the Winter Paw Thaw tomorrow.  Stay tuned for more info on Yarrow as we get to know him.
