December 13, 2016 – Tattoo is gone to his forever home today…(:
December 5, 2016 – Tattoo went to the off leash dog park this week and had a great time playing with the big dogs! He was much more engaged with them than he is with his foster brothers. Tattoo loves his stuffed toys and will play fetch forever!!! He sleeps in his favorite chair at night. He dances on his hind legs when it is supper time or he wants a treat. January 8, 2017 – Santa came in a bit late for this sweet boy but it was worth it…….Bugsy has been adopted by his foster mom who couldn’t imagine life without him.
December 7, 2016 – Bugsy and Koko are an adorable couple. They love to snuggle up with each other, especially after a busy day outside. Bugsy is a little more vocal than Koko in the morning, but only because he is so anxious to see his humans and say good morning. He runs around in circles and then will bounce up and down until he gets a proper morning greeting. Koko is a little doll, but is quite willing to join Bugsy in the morning to let you know that she is ready to start her day. Both have lots of energy and spunk. They can be quite comical to watch. We love having them around, but it would be so wonderful to give them a family of their own for Christmas
November 14, 2016 – Bugsy is Koko’s life partner. He’s a sweet boy and is very attached to his Koko. He’s got a bit of the Beagle temperament and his little howling is quite funny. Dougie is not a cuddly pug but he is starting to cozy up with us on the sofa. He loves being with us wherever we go and he makes it known that he does not like being left behind. Dougie doesn’t get overly excited about going for a walk and he tends to go rather slowly. October 21, 2016 – Jackson is gone to his forever home where he will share his life with an active family with 2 kids and 2 female pugs.
October 16, 2016 – Jackson is doing very well and enjoys swimming 2 times a week. He is listening well to his foster mom and the new harness really helps him not pulling. Jackson still needs to lose weight but he is on the right way with all the exercise he gets.
October 5, 2016 – Jackson had a Temperament Assessment done yesterday. He tends to be a bit rude when it comes to asking for attention, and pulls when on walks. His foster mom has received lots of great advice to help train Jackson to be a better behaved boy. We also switched his harness to an Easy Walk harness to gently discourage him from pulling while on leash. His adoptive family will have to be committed to continue working on his training and on his weight loss. Jackson needs lots of exercise !! He can easily walk 6km a day on fast pace and he is doing laps with weights on his paws twice a week and one hour each time at Canine Water Wellness. He is getting along well with his foster pug brothers. If you are interested in adopting Jackson, please fill out our online adoption application.
September 22, 2016 – Jackson came back to us a few days ago. He was not a good fit with his new adoptive family. Jackson has lots of energy and he will need to go to a very active family. We will be assessing Jackson over the next weeks to see how he is behaving with other dogs. We will also have a temperament assessment done on him by a professional dog trainer. Jackson will be starting hydrotherapy sessions next week to help him shed the extra lbs he still needs to lose to get to a healthy weight. Jackson is 48lbs and he should be 30-32lbs. Jackson is a puggle. He went back to the same foster family so it was a smoother transition for him. He lives with 2 other pugs and so far, there has been no issues.
