May 31, 2013 – Monkey is getting adopted by…………..her foster family.

May 16, 2013 – Monkey is doing so well these days and it’s such a pleasure fostering this sweet girl. She will always put a smile on our face and is happy to greet you with lots of kisses and a wagging tail whether it’s first thing in the morning or when you come home from being away from the house. Monkey likes to cuddle up close to her sister Baobao when they are just napping on their little bed in the living or snoozing on their big pillow bed at night. Since recovering from her spaying, she would be happy never to see a crate again and does fine in the house when left alone. You will usually find Monkey happily awaiting your return at the front door. Monkey enjoys going for walks when the weather is nice and is doing well on leash but is quite content to just stay indoors when it’s rainy or cold.

April 30, 2013 – Monkey is a super friendly pug always excited to meet people and other dogs. She is full of personality and very playful. Monkey likes to be the center of attention most of the time but she plays well with the other pugs. Monkey is going to be very happy getting back to her walks now that her stitches have been removed and is enjoying the freedom of not having to be crated anymore. Monkey is normally an very early riser in the morning but seems to enjoy the comforts of the big doggy bed with her sister Baobao. Unlike her sister, Monkey has no problem with the stairs and getting around the house so like most pugs, she’ll always be close by your side. If you’d like to meet Monkey in person, please come down to Brewer Park Farmers Market this coming Sunday to meet her and her sister Baobao.

April 21, 2013 – Well the name Monkey definitely suits this busy girl. At times it’s been a challenge keeping her quiet since getting her spayed on Wednesday but, she has settled in well at her foster home. Monkey has to be crated most of the time while she recovers. When she is out of the crate and calms down, she will then settle down beside you and have a nap, usually with her sister Baobao close by. Once Monkey’s stitches are removed, we’ll be able to let her get back to a normal routine and see her personality shine.

April 18, 2013 – Monkey was spayed yesterday and she had 13 teeth removed. She is 17.2lbs and she is now ready to be adopted. If you are interested in adopting Monkey, plese submit your adoption application form.

April 13, 2013 – Monkey came to us two nights ago and for a girl who is seven, she is very active and always looking for attention. Although this poor girl had a rough start on life, she is not afraid of humans and loves to jump all over you. Once she has settled in more, we’ll work on her manners. Monkey went for her first walk yesterday and she was very good on the leash so based on her energy, she will need regular walks. Monkey is getting used to good quality food and like a typical pug, seems to have no problem with her appetite. Monkey had a bath yesterday morning so smells fresh and clean and is going to the vet on April 17 to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned. Stay tuned for more updates on Monkey as we get to learn more about this sweet, beautiful girl.

April 10, 2013 – Monkey came in tonite with her sister Baobao. Both were used for breeding and they were quiet during their transpot from Montreal. Monkey is a little more outgoing than her sister Baobao but they both have sweet disposition. Monkey will be visiting the vet in the coming week for a complete check up and to be brought up to date in her vaccination. We will also schedule an appointment to ahve her spayed. Stay tuned for more on Monkey in the coming days.
