sylvie

August 15, 2010 - Bella has been adopted and went to her forever home on August 6....stay tuned for her success story.

July 30, 2010 - Bella's adoption is almost finalized.  She will live with another pug in a loving family.  Stay tuned for more details and her happy tail.

July 20, 2010 -INTRODUCTION - Bella is a puppy mill dog, she would be around 5 years old.  She's 15.8 lbs and she has recently been spayed.  She loves to sleep and is becoming more playful every day.  She is a very sweet little girl who loved to be cuddled.  She's a bit shy with new people at first.  She loves to sleep in the big bed and is absolutely no trouble.  She would do good with another small dog to keep her company.  If you are interested in adopting Bella, please fill in an adoption application form and return tu us.

June 16, 2010 -
Jenny was spayed this morning and her teeth were cleaned.  She had 4 teeth pulled.  She's doing very well and she will be going back to her foster mom this afternoon.

June 15, 2010 -
Jenny is doing very well, she was at the PUGSTOCK last Sunday and seemed to enjoyed all the pugs around her and caught the attention of a few people interested in adopting her.  Jenny is getting spayed this week.  If you are interested in adopting Jenny, please fill in an adoption application form and return to us.

June 9, 2010 - Jenny went to the vet today and got a complete check up, she was vaccinated and dewormed.  She is getting spayed next week and her teeth will be cleaned at the same time.  The vet estimated that she would be app 5 years old.  She weights 22lbs and was very good for the vaccine and nail clipping.

June 7, 2010 - INTRODUCTION - Jenny is one of the 4 female pugs that were saved from a puppy mill on Sunday June 6.  She obviously had puppies recently.  Jenny has an appointment to go to the vet in the coming days for a complete check up and vaccination.  An appointment will then be made to have her spayed.  Jenny has adapted very well to her foster family and she has slept in the big bed with her pug brother and sister.

Roxy - 5 year old female

roxy2At the beginning I was interested in fostering a pug. So one became
available. I went to pick her up, she was standing there so happy wagging
her tail, licking me and trying to get my attention, if I could only read
her little mind,  I would be sure she was saying, "I want to go home with
you".  Awww, from the time she jumped in my car and drove home with me, her
princess like personality and sitting so proud driving home, I thought how
am I ever going to foster her and give her up for adoption.  So right there
and than, I thought, , I would really like to adopt this little girl.

The first day I brought her home, she did not know how to go up stairs, nor
was she very use to people being around, any little noise or movement she would scurry away.  As time passes she is getting more and more use to people around her and noise don't bother her as much. Roxy loves to sleep on my pillow on my bed, she loves to sit on the couch and just chill and watch TV,  or follow me around the house.  Roxy has found her new home, she is an amazing addition to our family and we love her very much, thanks to UNDER MY WING - Pug Rescue, she has found a good home and will be able to run and play and enjoy her new found life!

Frieda - 14 month old female

freida2

Frieda is the loveliest little pug---along with her brother pugs Carter and Nash.  Carter is happy to sit back and watch the young pugs play.  Frieda is like no other pug we have seen, she can run and jump like a gazelle, she does not shed and she is very slim.  She swims like a fish and it is a good thing because she falls in our pool on a regular basis, she is so busy chasing birds that fly overhead that she does not watch where she is going and falls in the pool.  She is therefore never left in the pool area alone even for a moment.  Frieda gets up at 5:30 each morning and immediately goes outside for a pee.  She comes in and has breakfast and then goes outside right away again to have a pooh.  The other two pugs go out at this time as well, but they prefer to have breakfast before going out for the first time.  The pugs are not alone for more than 4 hours at a time.  They are not caged and have the run of the house.  My 18 yr old daughter baby-sits next door and she and the children come over usually at lunch to play with the pugs, swim and just generally hang out. Frieda sleeps where ever she chooses, which is either with us or my daughter.  She plays with Nash all the time.  I love when they do the pug run.  It is very entertaining.  We love her and are so thankful that we got to adopt her.  Thank you.

Timbo - 2 year old male pug

timbo

When we started looking on the Ontario pug rescue sites for a buddy for our active 2 year old female pug Piper, I don't think we had any hopes that we would find one who would fit in so easily, or be so affectionate and gentle.  However, when UNDER MY WING – Pug Rescue suggested that Timbo, a 2 year old male, might be a good match for her, we didn't hesitate.  I made arrangements to take a trip to Ottawa on a long weekend, so that I would have a few days off to settle him in before returning to work.  My mom was kind enough to come along for the drive.  Piper came too, and was pretty excited to be staying in a hotel....she especially loved going up and down the elevators and meeting lots of new people. We had only one picture to go by, and we figured Timbo would be a bigger version of Piper, who has short legs, and a typical pug body.  We went to the foster home to meet him Friday night, and were surprised to be met by a tall, long, beautiful teddy bear of a dog!  He was very excited, and made the cutest "woo woo woo" noises that cracked us all up!  They tore around the yard getting to know each other, and it was pretty apparent that Timbo was going to give Piper a run for her money in the energy department!  We came back to pick him up Saturday morning for the long drive home.  He was happy enough to come with us, and very well behaved in his doggy seat belt in the car, as long as someone was sitting beside him, petting him.  We stopped for a couple of hours in Toronto, then continued on to London, our final destination.  Both dogs slept most of the way, and that night, Timbo slept in his new dog bed, while Piper slept on the big bed with me, as usual.  In the days since, Piper and Ringo (aka Timbo) have become good friends.  Piper was a little intimidated by the size difference at first, but not anymore.  They wrestle, they play tug of war with toys, and they give kisses to each other.  He has taken to every member of the family; my sons, their friends, and whoever else stops in to visit.  He will sit and wait for an invitation to jump up on the couch, but once you say "come on Ringo" he is up and cuddling.  He has been sleeping on the big bed since day 3, and he snores like a freight train.  LOL.  He is a joy to have around.  He hasn't missed a meal yet.  He seems very happy in his new surroundings.  He especially loves to go for walks.  I am amazed at how well mannered and affectionate he is.  I couldn't have wished for a better match.  Thank you Under My Wing !

Fudge - 3 year old male

ramsayWe are now the proud owners or 2 beautiful dogs! We are currently sitting in bed and both dogs are chewing their nylabones! They are really great together! Traci and I had decided to change Fudge's name to Ramsay so we tested it out last night and he started responding to his name right away! Harley showed Ramsay around the house right away, they had dinner together and and played outside for a good hour. Ramsay marked his teritory on all the trees and they played fetch together and he found his favorite outdoor toy right away. Overnight was very good, they here asserting dominance for a while and then went to sleep, Harley at the foot of the bed and Ramsay slept in the crook of Traci's arm all night. So all around we've been doing great so far. We really love him, he is very playful and seems to have really taken to me right away!
Thank you very much for this amazing opportunity to adopt such a beautiful little creature.
