Age: 4 1/2 years old
Adoption Status:

SushiTeres2June 5, 2014 – Sushi is going to her forever home this Saturday. She will be sharing her life with a kind Golden Retriever.

May 22, 2014 – Sushi had her appointment with Dr. Bacon (orthopedic specialist) yesterday. He has concluded that the problem with her hinds legs is neurological; meaning that at some point in her young life she suffered a spinal cord injury causing a disruption in the signals between her hind end and her brain. Although this makes her a little more vulnerable it by no means makes her an invalid. Sushi should however avoid rough play and slippery surfaces where she may fall as she can be knocked over easily; but walking especially on uneven terrain will not only improve her muscle strength it will also improve the connection between her legs and brain improving her balance so she should walk every day to make her stronger and she LOVES walking. Sushi was an excellent patient repaying Dr. Bacon with a wagging tail and sloppy kisses. This little pug is very smart and eager to learn new things; not only does she understand sit she is also doing well with come and leave it. She is such an easy girl to care for; needing only some regular exercise, a few treats and lots of love. Please contact us HERE if you are interested in adopting Sushi.
