November 15, 2023….later – Rorie and Sookie have been adopted by their foster mom.  They have bonded with her and we believe this is the best for these 2 sweet girls.

November 15, 2023 – Rorie is such a crazy little girl, she is full of life and love she is just a little cuddle bug given the chance will cuddle up with any of her foster brothers, right on top. Once she adjusted to me, she became attached like glue but she has spent just about every day with my mother around and yet she still cannot touch her, she will aproach people and sniff them but don’t look at her or touch her, she is very timid. She still does not like it when I leave the house or even go upstairs without her, she is very vocal and stressed out until I come back and then she lets me know how unhappy she is that I went somewhere without her. Just the other night was the first night that she fell asleep on the couch with her foster brothers with me on another couch; this has never happened before so that was so nice to see. She has a very healthy appetite and just cannot wait for dinner time, the squeals that come from her are just amazing very very high pitched. I took her and Sookie to the fenced-in park on Sunday for an off leash adventure, they ran and ran and just had the best time, it was very nice to see.

October 19, 2023 – Little Rorie she is very sweet once she will let you near her. She went to the vet this past week and it was very hard for them to get close to her but they did a pretty good job with the help of peanut butter. So a quick look at eyes, nose, ears and heart so far all seems to be looking good. She has come out of her shell a lot with me but still very scared of strangers.

I have been able to bring her to work a couple of days so she can experience random people coming around. She does learn very fast but the insecurity is going to take a bit as she gets upset when I leave the house or is without me for even a few moments. She still has not mastered the art of doing all of her business outside but today she went for a poop outside which was the first time and she was very proud of herself.

She seems to be very attached to Sookie and vice versa. They do everything together and are not very happy when one is without the other but it is. Rorie is a very happy little girl, she loves to run at the speed of light after she has done her business outside.

October 11, 2023 – This little girl is very sweet. She came to me and I could not even touch her. In the morning, she was fine and very excited to see us. I opened the door and let my pugs in to see how everyone would get on. Lots of sniffing and everything went really well. I let her run through the house and into the backyard for her first adventure!! Run run run sniff bark then 110 miles an hour back into the house.

In the two days that I have had her, she has come such a long way already. I can pet her, pick both up and get the harnesses on them so that meant yesterday was the first little walk, that was fun, very tangly. She has learned to wait for treats along with the resident pugs so nobody has gotten in trouble. Rorie is on raw food and she just explode with energy when it is meal prep time.  Rorie and Sookie curl up together right beside me.  Rorie and Sookie are fostered together.

October 9, 2023 – Rorie was surrendered due to no fault of her own.  She is born January 24, 2022 and she is spayed.  Stay tuned for more on Rorie as we get to know her.
