LOU

Age: 3
Adoption Fees: $400
Adoption Status:

November 16, 2019 – Lou has been adopted by her foster mom, she is living a dream life with her best friend, Pepper, the Boston terrier.

November 13, 2019 – Lou likes to run in the snow No issues with her going out to do her business ….
Her nostrils are still looking a bit sore so I still keep her cone on. She has been feeling better with the Metacam and has her energy back and wants to play Thankfully she is very good with her cone and I will take it off only if she’s next to me on the couch and just for a short while . She will try to rub her nose if she can get to it.  She got a new sweater last week for her walks , just in time for the cold snowy weather.  Lou loves to cuddle and sit on my lap , she also loves to cuddle with the resident Boston, they just love each other, so cute to see them together.  Her appetite is great.  Lou loves her walks and car rides and gets really excited when she sees the harness but then she runs away and it’s quite the game catching her. She is stubborn and comes only if she feels like it or if I go out of sight !  Little Lou is definitely starting to feel better, her stitches are still in and her nostrils should soon be completely healed.

November 12, 2019 – Lou is healing nicely.
She is doing very well on raw food diet.
Despite her surgeries , she is a happy sweet little girl, very tolerant with her cone collar. In another week, if her nostrils are healed we can ditch that cone.
Lou is very attached to me and likes to be on my lap or just snuggles next to me.
Lou is a bit naughty at times and runs away if I’m trying to get her to come in … Just a tad stubborn ! She likes to play and do zoomies but we’ve kept it to a minimum as she’s healing … My grandson was visiting tonight and Lou was just so lovable and curious about him .,. She just wanted to sit next to him and she was so gentle.

October 30, 2019 – Lou was spayed on Monday and had her soft palate shorten and nostrils enlarged.  She is back to her foster mom for a smooth recovery.  Lou will be available for adoption as soon as she is completely healed.

October 23, 2019 – Lou has transitioned to raw food very well. She has fast become buddies with Pepper, the resident Boston Terrier, but will still try to chase the cats if she can. Lou is very smart and responds to “no” very well.  She continues to love her car rides and going for her walks. She enjoys being outside in the yard as long as I’m with her , and surprisingly she will go do her business in the rain … She has been well trained in that area !  She likes to run around and play.
What a beautiful little girl Lou is, so full of love and just like a pug, a constant shadow.

October 7, 2019 – What a bundle of joy Lou is ! No adverse reactions to her shots and had a great checkup at the vet last Friday. Her ears need some attention but I have some Burrows here to administer. Lou is healthy and full of happy energy .. She likes to chase the resident cats.  The cats are taking a wide berth right now and want nothing to do with her and it’s good they sleep in the day and are on the move at night.  Lou has quite a snore and does mouth breathing after running around. She walks good on the leash, we had a good walk today and loves to also run around the yard …. Has done a few zoomies.
She is great with other dogs.  Her weight is good at 20lbs.
She is used to the ramp up to the bed now and the stairs to the couch.
Lou is pretty smart and is quite curious ! She is also completely housetrained , no accidents ….
Loves to be close to her people and in typical pug fashion follows me wherever I go.  Lou also loves the car and is a good passenger ! She is a delight.

October 2, 2019We welcomed Lou today.  This sweet 2-3 year girl has  been found stray and never claimed after a few weeks.  Lou will be going to the vet in the coming week for a complete check up and to be brought up to date in her vaccination.
