IMG_4288February 25, 2014 – Bella is going to her forever home in a few weeks – she will sharing her life with a 5 month old pug brother.

February 13, 2014 – Bella continues to do very well and she is now definitely asking to go out to do her business and I find I don’t need to put her out nearly as often. Although she is a sweet little girl she is also stubborn and hates having her face cleaned and snout soother applied which she needs done often as her wrinkle seems to get irritated easily. She also resists having her nails trimmed and her ears cleaned but we are working on it. She is a bit of a cry baby and whines when she wants something, whether it’s just to get up on her foster daddy’s lap and especially when she’s hungry. She knows how everyone fits into the family and seeks out her human sister as dinner approaches as my daughter feeds the dogs their evening meal. Bella also makes good use of her front feet reaching out to pull things within easy reach or slapping you when you stop petting her.

February 4, 2014 – Bella is doing really well. She is an extremely affectionate happy dog. We have been able to get out quite a lot since the weather has improved and she absolutely loves running and jumping in the soft snow. She expects everyone she meets to greet her but I have noticed she is a little nervous around large dogs. She is bright and learns quickly responding well to praise and treats. She has only had a couple of accidents during the last week and for the last couple of days she has whined and run to the door when she needed to go out. For the last week she has had free access to most of the main floor even when I’m out. She is energetic and playful but doesn’t get into mischief. Bella has fallen in love with the younger of my two dogs and wants to be wherever he is and wants to play with him even when he doesn’t want to so we are working on boundries. She usually responds to a sharp NO or OFF but she is still a puppy and far more playful than her buddy so sometimes we need to take her away as she doesn’t recognize when Quincey tells her he’s had enough.

January 27, 2014 – Hi Genevieve – Bella is a sweet, playful little girl who loves everyone and is anxious to please. She has now taken an interest in her foster brothers and loves a good game of tug of war or a game of chase. She is a bright girl and very food motivated. She will sit, wait and come especially if she knows there is a treat involved. She is an outdoorsy girl who enjoys running and rolling in the snow as long as it’s not too windy outside. When Bella sees her leash she sits politely and waits for her harness to be put on. She waits while I open the door and doesn’t go out until she’s given the okay. She is still having the occasional accident in the house but that is improving and I have no doubt that she will be completely housebroken once the weather improves.

January 24, 2014 – Bella is doing really well. She had a few accidents yesterday but I think she is now getting the idea that she needs to go outside. She likes her new dog food and ate well. She whined a little bit in the car on the way home but she didn’t jump around but lay on the back seat. Her favourite spot to sleep is on the back of the sofa, am trying to get a picture of her. Her favourite toys so far are a Nyla bone and a hard rubber ball. She is definitely a people pug, doesn’t mind her foster brothers but doesn’t really pay much attention to them. She whined a little in the crate but she settled down well and slept most of the night. Also took her for a short walk and she walked well on the leash.

January 23, 2014 – Bella came in today. She is an owner surrender. She born on May 3, 2012 and she is spayed. Bella is a very friendly pug who LOVES people and gets along well with dogs. Bella will soon go to the vet for a complete check up and to be brought up to date in her vaccination.
